365 Thank Yous

Today I have been reminded to be very, very, very grateful to the grandmothers in my life. This list now includes my own mother who has been vital to my success thus far as a new mother. My son has begun teething and without simple her simple tips, like wrapping an ice cube in a baby wash cloth for him to suck on, I would probably be tearing my hair out right now.

My mother also introduced me to the book 365 Thank Yous, by John Kralik, today when I told her about my blog project. The author of the book changed his life for the better when he vowed to write 365 thank yous in a single year. I jokingly told my mom that I owe her all 365. (I definitely owe her more). However, now I am inspired to be more diligent with handwriting thank you notes to everyone who helps me this year, actual snail mail, funny stamps postage.
