If there is one thing I have begun to learn about in this life, it’s that happiness is a journey, not a destination. And this journey requires consistent effort. I think that people tend to confuse happiness with joy. They, me included, have been trained to feel that unless they are in a constant state of bliss, than they must be missing something or somehow doing something wrong. This is how we can get stuck “pursuing happiness”, rather than learning to accept and be grateful for the natural ebb and flow of our emotions.
So, to kick start this blog space, I’m going to take one of the above strategies each week and implement them in my daily life. Each day I’ll post the actions I’ve taken toward maintaining higher levels of consistent happiness and how I feel them working in my life.
